India's coronavirus tally has surged to 73.7 lakh cases after a fresh spike of 67,708 infections in the last 24 hours, the government data showed this morning. The number of fatalities stood at 1,11,266 after 680 deaths were registered in a day. About 63.8 lakh patients in the country have recovered so far; 81,514 patients have recovered since yesterday.
