1.Scientist ‘G’: Post: ONE Unreserved, Pay Matrix Level 14 as per 7th CPC. Age limit: Not exceeding 58 years. Method of appointment: - Deputation failing which by Direct Recruitment. Qualifications and experience :- Ph. D. /Equivalent with original work as evidenced by patents or publications. Evidence of leadership with 15 years experience of Post- qualification in R & D.

Desirable experience :- M.D. - Ph. D. with strong background in Microbiology preferably with translational outlook for microbial resources. Experience for Deputation: Scientists from Central/ State Governments, Research Institutes, Autonomous Bodies etc. (i)Holding analogous post on regular basis in parent department or (ii)with 5 years service in Level 13A or equivalent in the parent cadre/ department and possess the essential qualification and experience as mentioned above. Job Description :- The selected candidate, in addition to his own research program is expected to supervise overall activities of microbial repository and promote translational research activities with academia/industries.

2.Scientist ’D’: Post: One – Unreserved, Pay Matrix level 12 as per 7th CPC. Age limit: Not exceeding 45 years.

 Method of appointment: - Deputation failing which by Direct Recruitment. Essential Qualifications and experience: - 1st class or equivalent in M. Tech./M.D./M. V. Sc./M. Pharm OR M.Sc. with Ph.D. with original work as evidenced by patents or publications. Evidence of leadership with 9 years’ experience in R & D OR Ph.D. with at least five years research experience in the relevant subject. Desirable experience:- Extensive experience in microbial taxonomy, ecology and experience in International Depository Authority operations. Experience for Deputation: - Scientists from Central/State Governments, Research Institutes, Autonomous Bodies etc. (i)Holding analogous post on regular basis in parent Department or (ii)With 5 years' service in Level 11 or equivalent in the parent cadre/ Department and possess the essential qualification & experience as mentioned above. Job Description 1.Overall supervision of activities in microbial repository and IDA developing long term vision and strategic priorities including improving and expanding the scope of services offered by microbial repository and obtaining accreditations like ISO and NABL. 2.Support activities of Repository in the areas of Microbial Ecology, Taxonomy and International Depositary Authority

3.Scientist ’D’: Total Posts: 6 Nos. OBC (3), SC(2), ST (1), Pay Matrix level 12 as per 7thCPC. Age limit: Not exceeding 45 years.

Method of appointment: - Deputation failing which by Direct Recruitment. Essential Qualifications and experience: - 1st class or equivalent in M. Tech./M.D./M. V. Sc./M. Pharm OR M.Sc. with Ph.D. with original work as evidenced by patents or publications. Evidence of leadership with 9 years’ experience in R & D OR Ph.D. with at least five years research experience in the relevant subject. Experience for Deputation: - Scientists from Central/State Governments, Research Institutes, Autonomous Bodies etc. (i)Holding analogous post on regular basis in parent Department or (ii)With 5 years' service in Level 11 or equivalent in the parent cadre/ Department and possess the essential qualification & experience as mentioned above. 

 

4.Scientist ‘C’: Post: One – Reserved for SC, Pay Matrix level 11 Age limit: Not exceeding 40 years. Method of appointment: - Deputation failing which by Direct Recruitment Essential Qualifications and experience: - 1st class or equivalent in M.Tech./M.D./M.V.Sc./M.Pharm, M.Sc. with 5 years’ experience OR Ph.D. with original work as evidenced by patents or publications. Evidence of leadership with about 4 years’ experience in R & D. Desirable experience :- Experience in the area of microbial taxonomy/ecology AMR. Experience for Deputation:- Scientists from Central/State Governments, Research Institutes, Autonomous Bodies etc. (i)Holding analogous post on regular basis in parent Department or (ii)With 5 years' service in Level 10 or equivalent in the parent cadre/ Department and possess the essential qualification & experience as mentioned above. Job Description - 1.Contribute to the activities of Identification, authentication and curation of cultures received at repository of AMR organisms and develop research activities in this domain.  

General information and conditions:- 

 1.Application in the prescribed format* duly filled in along with Demand Draft and self-attested photocopies of all certificates showing date of birth, qualifications, details of examinations passed, experience, list of publications, patents, caste certificate, payment proof of application fee if any, recent passport size photograph and other relevant documents should reach to the Director, National Centre for Cell Science, NCCS Complex, S. P. Pune University Campus, Ganeshkhind, Pune – 411 007, Maharashtra, India. The last date for receipt of applications is 30 days from the date of publication of advertisement in Employment News. For candidates residing in North-Eastern States, Union Territory of Ladakh, Lahaul and Spiti Districts of Himachal Pradesh, Pangi Sub-division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep Island is 45 days from the date of publication of advertisement in Employment News. The name of the post applied for should be super scribed on the envelope.

 2.The above posts are as per the Central Government pay scales and carry allowances like Dearness Allowance, Transport Allowance and HRA as per 7th CPC rules. However no NPA will be admissible for these posts. 

 3.Reservations as per the Government of India norms in respect of SC/ST/OBC/PWD etc. will apply. Age relaxation will be available to SC/ST/PWD candidates as per Government of India rules. SC/ST candidates should produce proof of their caste certificate from appropriate authority. 

 4.Age limits shall be reckoned as on the closing date for receipt of application. However, in case of exceptionally well qualified candidates the upper age limit may be relaxed by the Competent Authority.

 5.The upper age limit is however, relaxable up to 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years of OBC as per the Government orders in force only in those cases where the posts are reserved for respective categories, on production of relevant certificates in the prescribed format signed by the specified authority at the time of interview. The OBC candidates should produce the prescribed certificate valid for employment under Central Government.
